PAYMENT AND ORDERS Please also see our FAQ Page for additional information. lostWord accepts checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal. While we have a secure shopping cart, we realize that some customers have concerns about entering their credit card numbers into shopping carts. Because of these concerns, we accept checks and PayPal as forms of payment. PayPal offers an additional level of security as customers need not enter their credit card numbers into the shopping cart each time they make a purchase. If you have an established PayPal account and wish to use PayPal for your lostWord order, just click on the PayPal button in the cart and you will be able to pay with PayPal. If you would like more information on PayPal, or if you would like to open a free account with them, visit their website at: http://www.paypal.com. To view our shopping cart security certificate, click on the "Verified Secure" logo at the bottom of the shopping cart page. Checks and money orders must be payable in U.S. Dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank. All checks or money orders must be made payable to Cornerstone Book Publishers. All credit card orders are securely processed through VeriSign and are processed on a secure server. Credit card orders are processed and paid when you place the order. lostWord keeps no credit card numbers stored on its site. Sorry, no C.O.D. orders. All dishonored bank checks will be subject to a $25.00 service fee. We reserve the right to hold an order until the check is cleared or credit card verified. All prices are shown in US Dollars. All sizes and weights are shown using US standards. U.S. ORDERING To order any item from our on-line catalog, just click on the "Add to Cart" button. You will be given the option to go directly to the check out or continue shopping. If you wish to continue to shop and then wish to see the contents of your shopping cart, go to the bottom of any page and select "Your Shopping Cart." You will be taken to a page showing all items in your cart. When you are ready to pay for your order, you will be given the option to pay by mail with a check or money order, pay with your credit card or pay with PayPal. Select the form of payment you wish to use and then follow the instructions. If you wish to pay by check on-line, select PayPal as your payment option. When you place an order at lostWord you must provide us with a working and verifiable e-mail address where you can be reached. If we cannot reach you by e-mail, your order may be canceled. If you use any sort of spam filter, be sure to add info@lostword.com as a recognized and accepted e-mail address. Shipping and handling charges are added when you complete the checkout. Once an order is placed, we cannot combine it with another order nor cancel it. Special note for U.S. Military orders. If you are having your order shipped to a military address, your order is handled like any other U.S. order. Regardless of where you are stationed, the country box should show "United States." You will not be charged additional S&H charges because of where you are stationed. Note: While Military addresses are charged as any other U.S. address, shipping times can be longer due to your actual location. We are also not able to provide tracking numbers for military addresses and shipping must be at your risk. NON U.S. ORDERING Because non-US shipping and handling is determined by the weight, size, location and shipping method of the order, lostWord's shopping cart cannot handle these orders. We do, however, welcome non-U.S. orders in most areas of the world. To place an order to be shipped outside the U.S., just send us an e-mail with your name, e-mail address, country and the item (s) that you wish to order. We will send you a e-mail invoice with the total amount including shipping and handling. The e-mail will provide a link to PayPal's secure site where you can pay for the order with your credit card or bank account. Once you approve the invoice, we will ship your order. For more information on PayPal, please visit their website at: http://www.paypal.com SHIPPING Depending on the order and shipping address, lostWord ships by either the US Postal Service or UPS. Note: UPS will not deliver to P.O. boxes. If you wish your order shipped to a P.O. Box, you must clearly identify the address as a P.O. Box. Shipping and handling charges reflect the cost of processing your order, invoicing, packing and shipping charges. Our U.S. standard S&H charges are: Up to 25.00 ... 8.95 25.01 to 50.00 ... 9.95 50.01 to 100.00 ... 12.95 100.01 to 200.00 ... 15.95 200.01 to 300.00 ... 19.95 300.01 to 400.00 ... 23.95 400.01 to 500.00 ... 27.95 500.01 up ...........31.95 Standard Service for non-US orders can be 1 to 8 weeks for delivery. If your order will pass through Customs, please expect a delay. CONTACTING US ABOUT AN ORDER If you contact us about an order be sure to include both your name and date of order. Without this information, it makes it very difficult to trace an order. E-mails sent without identification or with attachments will be disregarded. RUSH ORDERS We endeavor to ship all in-stock items ASAP of receipt of order (usually within 3 days of the order), but delivery times cannot be guaranteed. They are only estimates based on the carriers delivery times, and do not include Customs processing. If your order is needed by a special date, please let us know prior to placing your order, and we will make every effort to accommodate you. NOTE: Orders received after Noon (ET) will be processed on the next working day (Saturday, Sunday & holidays excluded). LARGE ORDERS While it is possible for us to run out of stock of any item at any time, we try to keep our stock supply at good levels so that we can quickly ship you your order. We also, clearly identify Special Order items and list the approximate shipping times in the item descriptions. We can not, however, anticipate large orders of any single items and we do not guarantee that we will have sufficient stock on hand for large orders. If you wish to place an order for 10 or more of any single item, it is possible that we will have to place a special order. Special orders of our standard stock can take anywhere from a week to four weeks. We strongly suggest that you contact us before placing large orders or orders needed by a certain date so that we can advise you of our available stock and if special ordering will be necessary. RETURNS, LOST ITEMS & OTHER PROBLEMS We at lostWord are proud of the quality of our products and if what you buy is not satisfactory it may be returned for exchange, credit or refund within thirty (30) days of purchase date. Items that are not returnable are special order items which are not damaged or improperly made. Special order items are clearly identified in the item description. If you wish to return an item you bought from us, you must first e-mail us at: info@lostword.com letting us know the reason for the return and we will issue you a return number. We will not honor returns sent to us without a valid return number. Returned items will only be accepted in unused, undamaged and resellable condition (unless damaged in shipment to you). All returned items must be shipped to us in a manner that shows reasonable concern for its safety. lostWord is not responsible for returned items damaged or lost in shipping due to improper packaging. We suggest that you properly wrap all return items and ship in protective boxes or padded envelopes with all packages property registered for proof of delivery. Items sold through our CafePress store must be returned to CafePress. For information on CafePress returns, call them on their toll free line: 1-877-809-1659. If a special order item was shipped to you by its manufacturer (other than CafePress) and you wish to return or exchange it, do not send it back to the manufacturer. You must contact us to arrange for the refund or exchange. Sorry, we do not refund shipping and handling charges on returns. Special order items, if returnable, are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Once an order is shipped, US delivery can take 3 to 14 working days for delivery anywhere in the US. Non-US orders can take 1 to 8 weeks for delivery. This time schedule is for in-stock items. Special order items or back orders will take longer. Because the above delivery schedules are estimates given to us by our shippers for non-holiday times, with no guarantee of delivery times, we do not represent that we guarantee delivery by these schedules. Even with the greatest care given to an order delays do sometimes happen. We do not consider a US order as lost until 6 weeks have past from shipping date. Non-US orders (which can sometimes be held up in customs) are not considered as lost until 14 weeks from the shipping date have past. Lost orders are made good. We will reship or refund any lost order. We do, however, reserve the right to be sure that an order is actually lost and not simply delayed through no fault of our own. We are not responsible for orders that were lost due to the customer giving us incorrect shipping information. Check and double check your shipping and contact information. If we are able to recover a lost order due to incorrect shipping information given by the customer, we will reship or refund at the request of the customer. To reship, additional shipping charges are required and refunds do not include original shipping charges. We live in times when delays in shipping are growing more common and we ask for your understanding. We know that your order is important to you and hope that you know that we will do all in our power to get your order to you as fast as possible. We are sorry, but we do not honor claims for lost items over 6 months old. If your order does not reach you in a reasonable time, let us know. lostWord is very concerned with any problem you might have with your order. If there is a problem with your order, please send us a mail at once to: lostWord Problems and we will do all in our power to correct the situation. PRIVACY When you place an order, or e-mail us, all information collected is kept strictly confidential. Information you give us is NEVER sold or given to anyone outside of our company without your express permission. PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE We make every effort to maintain the prices on lostWord; however, due to conditions beyond our control, all prices and availability of items are subject to change without notice. FOR INFORMATION Should you desire more information, prices or availability of articles not listed on lostWord, write or e-mail us and we will be happy to help you. All e-mails with attachments are deleted unread and unopened.
